Hilarious Video of the Night

Gregg Popovich is known for not necessarily being the biggest fan of the questions that are asked during those (forced) in-game interviews, but at least he had a good time with it alongside a longtime vet in David Aldridge.

Among his many accolades, in perhaps the most impressive accomplishment, Jerry West is still the only man to earn the NBA’s Finals MVP award for his seven-game losing effort in 1969 vs. the Boston Celtics. For the series, West averaged 37.9 PPG, 4.7 RPG and 7.4 APG, which included a 53-point explosion in Game 1 and a 42-point triple-double in the deciding Game 7.

He didn’t have to cross that unsuspecting man up like that…but we’re kind of glad he did if we’re being honest.

Dunks of the Night

Russell Westbrook takes the nice backdoor feed from Kendrick Perkins as he beats Cory Joseph along the baseline in Game 4 of the WCF.

Joseph does get a bit of revenge, as he was able to get up and over the top of Serge Ibaka the next quarter.

NBA Cares Moments

The NBA really does a good job of making sure its players give back to the fans and community throughout the year, and it is great to see the Rockets’ Patrick Beverley taking the time to meet with superfan James Nguyen in the hospital.

Take your pick, but some (size 12) 3’s, 11’s, and 12’s would come in handy right about now.

Phenoms of the Night

Theo Pinson is a 6’6 Senior from North Carolina that Roy Williams wasn’t about to permit to leave the state. He’ll be with the Tar Heels next season.

10th grader Malik Monk is an Arkansas product that has been turning heads with his playmaking and shooting, not to mention his ability to finish above the rim in transition. As always, S/O to the Ballislife.com crew for putting together the mixtapes.

Kobe Bryant was among several NBA players and teams that took the time to pay respect to one of the greatest American poets of all time. Rest In Peace to the poet, author and humanitarian Dr. Maya Angelou.
