The Phoenix Suns made it consecutive victories in the NBA Cup on Tuesday night, as they matched the Thunder in West Group B on 3-for-1 after four games played.

It was a near-perfect night for the Suns who clinched victory with an 11-point margin, over a Spurs team who have been in commendable form as of late.

Devin Booker’s team-high 29 points was enough to see him reach 15,000 career points, becoming only the 61st player in NBA history to hit that milestone.

Since joining the league in 2015, only Steph Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo have put up that many points with one franchise.

Tuesday also saw the return of Bradley Beal to the ‘Big 3’ who have scarcely found themselves all fit and healthy at the same time this season.

However, on a night of many positives, the defining headline comes in the shape of Kevin Durant’s injury report, after the veteran keeled over with a sprained ankle.

The 14-time All-Star was forced to exit shortly before halftime, but still managed to register a score before Royce O’Neale deputised in his stead with just under four minutes remaining.

“I think he stepped on somebody’s foot in transition, and I think at halftime it stiffened up,” said Suns coach Mike Budenholzer.

“We will have to evaluate him again in the morning, see how he feels coming out of it, see how he does overnight. I don’t really know a whole lot more than the report at halftime.”

Replays show Durant storming downcourt before landing on Julian Champagnie’s foot as he attempted to jump and take a shot.

The Suns will be feeling disheartened by another injury to the Big 3, which has been unsettled by a string of fitness issues this season. Durant had played four games in a row before his injury on Tuesday, having just recovered from a seven-game absence in which the Suns went 1-for-6.
