Report: Porter Jr. Cancels Workout Over Major Spasms
NBA draft hopeful Michale Porter Jr canceled a second group workout in Chicago set for Friday, due to whats being described as severe muscle spasms. Several NBA teams including the Knicks, Kings, and Suns were expected to attend and get a second look at him.

After news of this started to leak around the NBA, Priority Sports, Porter’s representation sent out an update:
More from Porter camp: "After being shut down to do strengthening/core stabilization work for his first 4 weeks in Chicago, and then being ramped up as hard as he was the last 3 weeks, Michael developed some inflammation that wrapped around his nerve and caused massive spasms."

Continued: "This is very similar to when you hear of a player being out for a few days because of back spasms, and then the spasms dissipate and everything is back to normal. We are being told that is exactly what we expect to happen to Michael."

Michael Porter's camp sent out an update to teams this afternoon. "Porter will be evaluated again tonight and if the doctor feels Michael is moving well enough to go through the medical evaluation tomorrow, then we are going to proceed with the evaluation at 3pm CST tomorrow."

The news of medical issues may be devastating to Porter’s draft stock, especially considering how limited the access to him NBA teams have had.
The prevailing thought is that unless NBA team doctors get access to Porter directly, he may see his draft stock plummet.
